Community Challenge: The Ray Lonsdale Sculpture Dog Challenge!
Inspired by the incredible work of local artist Ray Lonsdale, we're launching a fun challenge for fellow dog lovers! His iconic sculptures are dotted across the North East, and they make for the perfect backdrop for an adventure with your furry friend.
Here's how to join the fun:
Take your dog to a Ray Lonsdale sculpture (like 'Seaham Tommy', 'The Easington Miner', or 'The Watcher'!).
Snap a lovely photo of your dog with the sculpture.
Share it on your Instagram feed or stories!
Tag @WishboneWeddings and use the hashtag #LonsdaleDogChallenge so we can see and share your adventures!
It's a wonderful way to explore our beautiful region, celebrate local art, and make some cherished memories with your best friend. We can't wait to see your amazing dog-and-sculpture snaps!
Ongoing Dog-Friendly Highlights: National Trust & Hadrian's Wall!
We're thrilled to see organisations like the National Trust making more places accessible for our canine companions. Meet Bracken, one of their newest recruits at Hadrian's Wall and Housesteads Fort in Northumberland!
Thanks to their partnership with natural pet food maker, @forthglade, the National Trust is working hard to ensure your visits with your dog are the best they can be. This includes:
Introducing more dog-friendly trails
Adding more dog waste bins
Providing convenient wash-down areas
Setting up refreshing drinking stations
They want you and your dog(s) to feel truly welcome, whether you're visiting for the day or enjoying a short break. You can even use their handy paw-print filter on the 'visit' section of their website to find dog-friendly places near you!
Heres is the details we make it easier for you!
